Pear Tree Infant and Walbrook Nursery School is a vibrant and diverse school that works closely with parents as partners, as well as the wider community. The Governing Body and Head Teacher are extremely proud of our children and are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant. We seek individuals who are passionate and sensitive to the needs of working with children who are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have additional needs.

The post requires you to have experience of working with children with SEN in a school and/or nursery setting, have an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and evidence of competency in Maths and English at GCSE level. The successful candidate will have high aspirations, have a genuine passion to help children in our school to flourish, and excellent levels of spoken English.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Experience of working with children with additional needs

  • Experience of working in childcare settings and/or school

  • Has a good knowledge and experience of child development

  • Works in close collaboration with colleagues as a valued member of a team.

  • Is innovative and creative in their style of approach
