Our school employs a trauma-informed approach, ensuring that each child's emotional and psychological needs are met alongside their educational requirements. Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and empathetic Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our students. The ideal candidate will embrace a holistic and therapeutic approach to education, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to support each child's individual needs., o Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programs and activities.
o Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs.
o Implement and support therapeutic strategies and interventions as part of the trauma-informed approach.
o Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional and social development.
o Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to monitor and track student progress.
o Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
o Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required.

o Experience working with children or young people with autism and associated conditions.
o Understanding of and commitment to a trauma-informed approach in education.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
o Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
o Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
