Teaching Assistants - Range 2

Working under the instruction and guidance of teaching and senior class staff this rewarding,and sometimes challenging role, will include supporting our students to access and engage with teacher led curriculum and learning activities. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans carrying out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. Assisting with personal care, attending to hygiene needs and administering medication are also key tasks. We are looking for people who have an appreciation of the positive attitudes needed to encourage independence in our students. You will be able to communicate with all members of our school community liaising with other professionals in order to carry out recommendations required. Part of the Vale Federation of Schools, Stocklake Park Secondary School is a specialschool which caters for students who have moderate to severe learning difficulties. There are currently 100 students at the main site. The school follows a primary model and is designed to meet individual educational needs and develop social and personal skills.
