Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator to join our Cellular Genetics Programme for a 1-year fixed-term contract or secondment to cover maternity leave. This role provides comprehensive administrative support to Programme Faculty, their teams, and supports the delivery of their objectives by working within a high-performing Team Administration function., This is an excellent opportunity to join our team and make an impactful difference to the science that is delivered. You would be joining a tight-knit Team Administration function with a diverse range of backgrounds as well as the wider Institute Administration Network both of which promote personal and professional development. This will give the successful candidate the opportunities to grow and build their potential and as a team who are highly focused on continuous improvement, there will be opportunities to engage in a wide range of initiatives.

To excel in this role you will need the following skills and experience:

  • Proven comprehensive secretarial / PA or administrative experience at senior manager level.


  • As a key interface between our research teams and our central support teams and processes, you will have strong communication skills and a 'can-do' attitude.

  • You should be a highly organised, efficient, self-motivated and energetic individual who is able to work independently in a dynamic environment with flexibility, adjusting to varying priorities and finding solutions to challenges that arise.

  • You will need to be tactful and discrete in communication and respect confidentiality. The ability to build effective relationships with members of the Institute and external partners at all levels is essential.

  • Your personal qualities will include professionalism, personal drive, trustworthiness and the ability to work collaboratively.
