Full Job Description

This role is contributing to the running of the service to make sure the service runs smoothly and patients are seen in a timely manner and get the best patient care possible. joining the Admin team is a close working team which is reliant on team work and good communication skills. it is circuital to work well with others and to help share the heavy workloads that come through the service., To provide efficient and effective administration support to the Talking Therapies Team.
To undertake the administration of all referrals received into the team and provide administrative support to the clinicians within the team.
To ensure high standards are maintained at all times and that work is produced effectively and efficiently in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures.
Answer incoming call to the service from patients, To undertake the comprehensive administration of all referrals received into the team.
To ensure that all relevant referral information is recorded on PCMIS and other relevant information systems and be responsible for the security of the information contained within these systems.
To collate all relevant available information to enable the effective triage of
referrals received by the team.
To take referrals and process from a range of multi-disciplinary professionals and agencies, service users and members of the public and provide practitioners with sufficient information in order to prioritise risk.
To carry out general clerical duties including information gathering, dealing with internal and external post and photocopying documents.
Deal with incoming postal and electronic mail as well as telephone enquiries and give advice wherever possible, using own initiative.
To manage the appointments system for the team in line with clinic times and the off duty rota.
To order and maintain sufficient levels of stationery and supplies for the team.
To deal wih telephone enquiries and give advice wherever possible, in a diplomatic and sensitive way, following these through with the appropriate member of staff, in a responsible and professional manner.

Disclosure Barring Certificate check
All of our new starters, who are appointed to a post which requires a Disclosure Barring Certificate check (DBS), will be recharged for the full cost of the check (DBS checks for volunteers are free of charge).
An enhanced DBS check costs £38 and a standard check costs £18 (plus an administration charge of £3.50). If you are a substantive member of staff, the full amount will be taken from your first month's salary.
If you are a member of staff on our bank, you will need to repay the full amount from your first salary.
We encourage you to register with the DBS update service at an annual cost of £13 (this is mandatory for bank staff).
