The three Integrated Care Boards covering the county of Essex (Mid and South Essex, Hertfordshire and West Essex, and Suffolk and North East Essex) are creating a new collaborative Inquiry Taskforce to manage and respond to the Lampard Inquiry. This statutory inquiry will review the deaths of mental health inpatients between 2000 to the end of 2023 in Essex. It will likely be far reaching, requesting evidence from families and service users, providers, and commissioners, within the health and care sector of Essex. It is likely to be emotive and deal with sensitive and confidential issues. Terms of reference for the inquiry are set out here Terms of Reference - The Lampard Inquiry - investigating mental health deaths in Essex

We are looking for highly motivated individuals, initially, to form the Inquiry Taskforce. It will be led by a newly created Deputy Director who will report directly to a pan-ICB Executive Group. The Deputy Director will be supported by a Lead Programme Management Officer and a dedicated administrator.
