Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Team Administrator working in the Home Treatment Team, based at Daisyfield Mill Blackburn, for the Pennine area.

The post will suit a person who enjoys team working in a fast paced clinical environment.

The successful applicant will be required to, provide an accurate and high standard of administration service with excellent interpersonal communication.Brief overview of job roles.

  • Opening and closing Referrals on RiO.

  • Data collation.

  • Audit reporting.

  • Liaising with Multi Disciplines.

  • Telephone calls.

  • General Admin duties.

  • Microsoft Excel


  • The post will suit someone who is committed and wants to provide excellent administrative support to clinicians.

    The post holder should have IT skills(Microsoft office; a good knowledge/understanding of Windows & Excel).

  • Receive allocate and dispatch internal /external mail in line with the Trust policy.

  • To be the first point of contact for the unit/department providing a comprehensive customer service and enquiry provision to internal and external customers of the Trust.

  • Provide a comprehensive administrative service compilation of reports and other correspondence on behalf of the team manager and other members of the team, ensuring a high standard in accordance with Trust standards.

  • To create and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels, internal and external across the whole health economy.

  • Work as a team with the appropriate management teams and other departments including clinicians to ensure that the appropriate leads are notified in the case of matters of urgency and dealt with in a timely manner.

  • Attend and participate in team meeting and admin services meetings as required

  • Assist in the planning and organising of a range of team activities and programmes including regular meetings and other events.

  • Monitoring and maintaining stationery supplies and stock for the team

  • Greeting and signing posting Service Users in face to face or on the telephone.

  • Responsible for dealing with queries from Service Users and/or their carers using tact and empathy as required and ensuring appropriate communication skills are used at all times.

    Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.


  • The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.

    To support home and work life balance the shift pattern is a rolling two week rota. The hours are below;

    Week 1 - Monday Tuesday, Saturday Sunday. 08:00-20:00Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.08:00-20:00

    Working pattern (hours): Full time

    Hours / sessions per week: 37.5 hours per week
