Full Job Description

This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The Learning Development Team provides academic skills support to undergraduate and taught postgraduate students. We run the Skills@Library workshop programme and offer 1-to-1 appointments for students, complementing our embedded teaching and online and printed resources.
As a Team Assistant, you will support the team's student-facing activities across campus, including initiatives such as the Writing Space, Maker Space and Workshop Programme. You will answer service enquiries, and work closely with other sections of the Library to provide support and training for appropriate triage of academic skills-related enquiries.
The role also includes helping to promote our service and supporting project work and service development activities through working groups.
This role is not eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Information on other visa options is available at: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas.

o 26 days holiday plus 16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) - That's 42 days a year!
o Generous pension scheme options plus life assurance.
o Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.
o Personal Development: Access to courses run by our Organisational Development & Professional Learning team.
o Access to on-site childcare, shopping discounts and travel schemes are also available.
And much more!
