Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Upper GI and Hepatobiliary (HPB) oncology dietitian to join our Cancer and Palliative Care (CAPC)Dietetic team. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to set up and lead on a newly funded UGI+HPB dietetic service including the management of both inpatients and outpatients from curative, surgical and palliative pathways as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.
We are looking for a passionate and driven team lead with experience working within in UGI+HPB cancer, service development and leadership to apply for this newly funded 37.5 hour band 7 post. Alongside new investment for a band 7 Head and Neck Lead, this post will share team lead roles and responsibilities for the CAPC dietetic team., As a senior specialist UGI+HPB oncology dietitian, you will
+ Be clinically responsible for the nutritional care and management of UGI+HPB patients and independently plan organise and prioritise patient related and professional demands daily.
+ Provide an expert nutritional support and dietary education service for UGI+HPB oncology patients in Cornwall.
+ To act as a specialised resource on nutrition and cancer for UGI+HPB patients, carers, medical staff, nursing staff, and other health care professionals at regional and national level.
+ To provide education and training to medical staff, nursing staff and other health care professionals in the Trust.
+ To provide team lead management responsibilities alongside the UGI+HPB clinical lead role
