Full Job Description

Join our therapy led Own Bed Instead teamthat consists of AHPs (Allied Health Professionals) and works in conjunction with Dudley Clinical Hub, providing urgent community response to prevent unnecessary admissions to hospital. You will lead the team, act as a role model, encouraging a shared vision and provide highly skilled clinical expertise., To be responsible for day-to-day management of a team of Occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy assistant practitioners within the Own Bed Instead service within Dudley.

To be an expert therapist in the provision of admission avoidance/rehabilitation to a caseload of adult patients with a variety of conditions, to avoid hospital admission, and facilitate safe discharge from hospital.

To lead the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective and efficient assessment of complex conditions and rehabilitation services are provided.

To provide leadership, training, supervision and appraisals for more junior staff.

To work collaboratively with other services within Dudley, such as West Midlands Ambulance Service, DGFT, Dudley local authority and other community services to ensure a seamless transition of care.

This role is suitable for an occupational therapist or physiotherapist who is passionate, driven, and dynamic in their approach, with extensive knowledge in rehabilitation, assessment, and treatment of individuals with complex conditions. The role will involve working closely with the MDT and organisational partners to drive the service forward to deliver on the ethos of 'Community First, Hospital when Necessary.'
