Full Job Description
We are looking for Band 6 nurse to join one of our Community Nursing teams based atWestview Integrated Care Centre, Tenterden. The service operates seven days a week from8am - 6pm. These extended working hours allows more flexible working for anyone lookingfor more flexible hours. Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with days off during theweek.
There are two teams supporting patients registered with GP practices working in the Tenterden area and surrounding villages within the Rural Primary Care Network.
Each team has two senior nurses who to take responsibility for a defined geographical area, and provide clinical leadership to their Band 5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team will worktogether to manage caseload patients delivering a high-quality service.
Main duties of the job
Candidates will be expected to be experienced nurses with relevant transferrable clinicalskills.
Candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertise will be considered. KCHFT is keen to support development and therefore, candidates withoutthe specialist District Nurse qualification or having a recognised advanced clinicalskills/module will be considered for trainee posts.
Staff will be required to drive their own car and are able to claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision, following their probationary period.
Successful applicants are required to have the qualification level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicants fromindividuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain this recognisedqualification, which we will support.
