Full Job Description

The post holder will be expected to support and assist the Office Manager in Radiology.
As the role will involves managing an admin team, staff appraisals will need to be conducted timely as well as ensuring vacancies are filled and staff provided the full induction to radiology. The post holder will also register and update patient information on multiple hospital systems, answer telephone enquiries to hospital staff, GPs, patients, and carers and investigate all queries and requests relating to examination requests and appointments using spreadsheets, diaries, and the CRIS system.
Work on rotation and flexible time within the team in booking and reception areas., · Retrieve and input information accurately and efficiently onto the confidential computer information system.
· Update confidential computer information when required.
· Send and receive fax/electronic messages to General Practitioners and other NHS hospitals in-line with Trust confidentiality and Data Protection policies.
· Retrieve and input patient information on to the Confidential Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS).
· Trace patient addresses/registered General practitioner and date of birth of birth through are PAS system where this information is missing or incomplete on requests/referrals to the department where necessary and report in line with department and Trust policies and procedures.
· Provide an efficient, responsive, polite liaison service with effective communication between the department and all users including patients.
· Ensure the following procedures to be completed appropriately on the confidential computerized information system and all documentation distributed appropriately at the end of the session., We promote the wellbeing and safety of all our patients and carers by acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately, according to the standards determined by our policy and procedures. All posts working with vulnerable groups will be subject to an enhanced criminal records check upon appointment and staff will need to give their consent for the Trust to receive regular updates on their criminal records status throughout their employment.
