Full Job Description

Our Team Leaders here at Change Grow Live play an integral role in ensuring an effective service provision for our service users by creating a focused culture, engaging staff to provide an innovative and continually improving service and provide leadership, support, and development to a wide range of staff., We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join our team at Reset Tower Hamlets. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work flexibly and creatively to establish what is needed to have the most positive impact for all who are referred to our service.,

  • Operational line management of a team of staff which includes supervision (with reflective practice), appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles.
  • Empowering staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members.
  • Lead on GP Shared Care/ Partnership Working
  • Work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of service users, children and families who are at risk. Ensure that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to service users.
  • Support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice, providing timely values-based feedback.
  • Lead on the recruitment, selection and induction of staff.

    Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services and delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards.
  • Significant experience of leading teams who work with families where children are subject to social care intervention.
  • Knowledge of current legislation surrounding children, young people, and safeguarding practice
  • Able to lead, inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to use common MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook), Experience of or the proven ability to manage and supervise peer mentors/volunteers.
  • Evidence of a commitment to service user involvement and development.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training packages or group work programmes.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Experience of contributing to project development.
  • Experience of auditing to inform evaluation and service development.
  • Experience of working within substance misuse or criminal justice services.
  • Understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
  • Experience of risk assessment and risk management procedures.
  • Experience of working effectively with external agencies.
  • Knowledge of the issues facing substance misusers and offenders, their families, and carers.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Equal Opportunities and Diversity.
  • Demonstrable administrative and IT skills.
  • Maintain professional boundaries.
  • Train peer mentors to support offenders in the community.
  • Ability to recruit, train and induct peer mentors and volunteers
  • Knowledge of local services and geography.
  • Experience of recruitment processes and procedures.
  • Experience of delivering Supervisions and 1-2-1s
