Full Job Description
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible
for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring that
production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. You
will lead a team of production staff, providing guidance, training, and support
to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
The Team Leader plays a crucial role in
overseeing and managing a team to ensure efficient and effective operations
within a department or organization. You will be responsible for guiding, Supervise
and lead a team of employees, providing guidance, direction, and support
as needed.
Set clear goals and objectives for the
team and individual team members, ensuring alignment with organizational
objectives.
Monitor
team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and
implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Train
new team members and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing
team members to foster skill development and career growth.
Foster
a positive work environment characterized by open communication,
collaboration, and mutual respect.
Address
any issues or conflicts within the team in a timely and constructive
manner, promoting resolution and maintaining team morale.
Serve
as a point of contact between team members and management, relaying
information, concerns, and feedback as appropriate.
Ensure
compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations, and promote
adherence to safety standards and best practices.
Collaborate
with other departments or teams to achieve cross-functional objectives and
deliver integrated solutions.
Provide
regular reports and updates to management on team performance, progress
towards goals, and any relevant issues or challenges.
Previous
experience in a food production environment, preferably in a supervisory
or leadership role.
Strong
leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and
coach team members.
Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding
of food safety regulations and quality standards are preferred.
Strong
problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability
to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility
to work shifts and weekends as required.
Relevant
qualifications in food production, manufacturing, or a related field are
preferred.
Computer
literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint), experience with production labelling software systems will be
