Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within PAMHS department to work with the administrative team. You will be required to provide high quality administrative support to contribute to the efficient running of our service.

The post holder will provide professional, high quality, comprehensive senior administrative support to enable Mildred Creek Unit multidisciplinary team to deliver effective services to our patients; the role also involves supporting the Admin Manager in supervising the front desk daily operations, ensuring all follow up appointments and room booking requests are processed in timely manner.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of the outpatient team and may be asked to provide cover for other team members when necessary to ensure smooth day to day running of the department.

You will need to be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills and committed to providing the highest possible standard of service to our patients, families and to both our internal and external colleagues.

The successful candidate will be based in PAMHS department, presence onsite is required 5 days a week.

Main duties of the job

Deals with first line enquiries from patients, relatives and staff

To be responsible for effective, accurate and timely management of the electronic patient record system (Epic), specifically patient information, booking, and clinic outcome recording.

Exercises judgement and problem-solving skills to improve patient and staff experience.

Clinical and non-clinical typing including letters, memos, forms, labels, notices and other papers.

Liaise effectively with other hospital departments to ensure good working relationships and effective running of specialty services.

Complete routine tasks and use initiative to complete non-routine processes and procedures.

To take responsibility for carrying out daily checks on discharge summary completeness and follow up appointment bookings.

To support the patients admission and discharge process, ensuring a smooth patient journey.
