Full Job Description

United Response is looking for an experienced social care Team Leader to join our Abingdon supported living services and help to continue re-defining the way person centred support is done., As a Team Leader your role is to ensure that you assist the Service Manager with the day to day running of the service whilst also providing key support to Support Workers on shift. As a Team Leader you will:

  • Managing a team of Support Workers
  • Provide leadership and motivation
  • Managing Rota's
  • Supervise and mentor team members
  • Facilitate the day to day running of services
  • Monitor the quality of support given
  • Liaise with other agencies
  • Think creatively about the type of support we can offer
  • Ensure that relevant documentation in updated and maintained
  • As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given
  • The role of Team Leader is incredibly important for the service, as you will be that vital link between the house and management team. Given the nature of this service, holding a full UK drivers licence and having access to your own vehicle is essential.

    To be a successful Team Leader you should be an experienced social care professional who is comfortable in their abilities, allowing you to mentor and train team members. You should combine a willingness to think outside the box with the reliability and intuition expected of a Team Leader. All candidates should be confident in their ability to conduct 1-2-1s and performance reviews and have some knowledge of how to get the best out of staff.
