Full Job Description
The National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) will transform the future of rehabilitation for people who have experienced injury or illness. Opening in Summer 2025, the NRC will be a new, purpose-built 70-bed facility which will be built on the Stanford Hall Rehabilitation Estate near Loughborough. It is co-located with the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre and will share some of the world class rehabilitation facilities. Thanks to an academic partnership led by the University of Nottingham and Loughborough University, research and innovation and training and education in rehabilitation will be embedded at the NRC and central to clinical practice.
We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Team Leader / Charge Nurse to join this journey to rehabilitation excellence, transforming outcomes for patients . This post is integral to providing senior leadership to nursing and support teams at the NRC, taking ward manager responsibility for high quality, efficient, safe and compassionate care in a rehabilitation setting. If you were successful you would become a key part of shaping the service going forwards, paving the future of rehabilitation in the UK. Please note the post holders base of work will Linden Lodge, City Hospital, until the NRC opens in summer 2025., The post holder will lead and support the nursing and support staff workforce at the NRC to enable high quality, safe and efficient patient care, whilst raising the profile of nurses in rehabilitation as part of our National ambition. This will include working within a team of three Team Leaders / Charge Nurses and in conjunction with an experienced multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist complex rehabilitation in an in-patient environment. The post holder will be supported by the Lead Nurse, alongside the wider NRC senior leadership team.
