Full Job Description

Track overall employee absence and support necessary resources for improvement.

Review incident investigations, responding to incidents accordingly and escalating where appropriate.

Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, Quality standards and all other company policies and procedures.
Analyse health and safety risks, act to reduce or eliminate them.
Manage a safe and productive team to uphold operational standards in line with customer requirements and resource constraints

Establish new standards within the operation and ensure departmental/personal accountability within the team.

Understand area-specific KPIs to manage productivity and positively challenge underachieving areas.

Manage a team to deliver daily operational activities that are in line or above customer service level agreements.

Investigate operational/system inaccuracies and discover the root causes of the issue. Act to reduce or eliminate them to drive continuous improvement.

Cultivate a positive and motivating atmosphere on the ground by working collaboratively with colleagues to maximize performance.

Form effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Take account of areas of common interest and difference and act accordingly.

Assess and apply own skills, abilities and experience. Being aware of own behaviour and how it impacts on others.

Sustain corporate values and communicate roles and responsibilities to the team.

Ensure that new staff are trained to the required standard and signed off of the correct SSoW & SOP’s

Drive the operation using primarily the system to ensure integrity and trackability.

Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Ability to question, positively challenge and improve upon existing processes.
High level of honesty and integrity.
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Resilience with an ability to keep calm under pressure and continue to follow the correct processes even under difficult circumstances.
Confident with the ability to deal with logistics professionals at all levels.
Numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to build strong interpersonal relationships with team members and other departments.
Proficient in the use of WMS(JDA)
Credible and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels of a business.

Experienced in managing a small team
