Full Job Description

To have oversight of two 136 suites, spending time in both areas, ensuring safe staffing numbers, supervisions/ audits are up to date, making sure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed, escalations to line management when required.

Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities) plus further specialist knowledge/post registration experience to diploma level or equivalent in Mental Health or Intellectual/Learning
Disabilities or other formal training.
Maintain current registration with the NMC and adheres to the NMC Code and demonstrates CPD within their specialism.
Demonstrate an understanding of physiological healthcare and have the ability to take appropriate action. i.e. signposting for diabetes, epilepsy.
Management and Leadership qualification and experience.
Advanced knowledge of the principals of medication management and concordance.
To demonstrate leadership and management skills and qualities.
Knowledge of education of others, and identification of training requirements.
Advanced knowledge of the Care Programme Approach, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty and Safeguarding etc.
