The collaborative of Digestive Diseases, Urology and General Surgery Services , is looking for an enthusiastic Team Leader who is looking for a challenge, with the potential to develop skills and knowledge and will support the collaborative in obtaining its goals of working through the recovery plan, created by the COVID pandemic and providing a high quality service to its patients. You will work very closely with the Admin Manager and other Team Leaders within the collaborative.
This post is for internal candidates to South Tees Trust. If you are not currently working within the trust your application will not be reviewed and automatically rejected at shortlisting stage. Please be aware of this when submitting your application., The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and supervisory skills and be able to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team taking a lead role in providing a comprehensive, effective and professional secretarial and administration support to the service. They will be responsible for ensuring the team deliver an effective and efficient service to Dermatology.
The post holder will deputise for the Admin Manager in their absence and undertake aspects of a line management role for junior admin support.
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

South Tees Hospitals is the largest hospital trust in the Tees Valley with two acute hospitals and services in a number of community hospitals.
The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough is a designated major trauma centre and provides all its specialties from one site which is unique for a hospital of its size. It provides a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracics, vascular surgery and cancer services. It has 1,024 beds, a 24-hour acute admissions unit and an emergency department which houses the major trauma centre for Durham, East Cleveland, Tees Valley and North Yorkshire and has its own helipad. In 2012 the Middlesbrough hospital completed a £35 million redevelopment of its cancer services and is now proud to provide some of the best facilities in Europe. The James Cook University Hospital has a modern, central operating suite containing 20 well-equipped theatres and a 16-bedded intensive care unit. There is also an Institute of Learning, Research and Innovation
on site, embracing postgraduate medical education, undergraduate teaching centre, nurse training school, the school of radiography and library facilities.

Full time - This role is to work from Monday to Friday on site, within the core hours of 08.00 - 17.00 (7.5 hours per day).
