Full Job Description

Team Managers look after the day-to-day organisation of a team ofAutism Practitionersin ourresidential homes. Role modelling outstanding working practices, Team Managers ensure the health and wellbeing of the autistic young people in their home is always the priority. Our Team Managers are inspiring leaders. They ensure their team members are following best practice to lead to the best possible outcomes for the autistic young people with complex needs we support.Main duties of the job Using your experience and knowledge of autism and/or learning disabilities care, you will support others to deliver excellent outcomes for our young people, enabling them to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives. You will be expected to work Early and Late shifts across a seven-day week 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Our Early shift is from 7am to 4pm and the Late shift is 2pm to 10pm.

  • Line manage, coach, and mentor a team ofAutism Practitioners.
  • Support the recruitment and induction process as necessary.
  • Manage staff attendance including sickness and other absences.
  • Manage staff performance including monthly check-ins, conduct, performance improvement, staff risk assessments and development plans.
  • Ensure the use of autism-friendly strategies to provide learning and wellbeing support to young people.
  • Understand and support others to understand and implement young peoples "This Is Me plans".
  • Carry out personal care for young people in line with their "This Is Me plans".

    Priors Court is a registered charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs, aged 5-25. Set within a 50-acre site in Berkshire, we have extensive bespoke facilities to help the young people we support to be healthy, happy, more independent and have the opportunity to access the world of work.
