Full Job Description

Due to service expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager within Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion, working across both the Adult and Youth Pathways. This is an opportunity to manage a unique service, covering the footprint of Northumberland and Tyne and Wear. The role involves managing a team of staff working inside Northumbria Police Custody and Magistrates Courts. Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion are an NHS England commissioned service with an excellent reputation nationally. We have just gone through the re-tender process and have been awarded the contract for a further six years from April '25. The successful candidate will work primarily within core hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday, however service demand may require flexibility with working pattern. The successful candidate will work closely with our NHS England Commissioning Team as well as other agencies within criminal justice, such as Police, Courts, Probation Services etc.

  • In addition to enhanced DBS clearance, it is essential that the successful candidate passes NPPV2 Police Vetting

    Working within a complex population within the Criminal Justice System, this role would be ideal for someone with the following qualities and aspirations:
  • The candidate will have excellent skills in detailed risk assessment and risk management The candidate will have extensive experience of multiagency working, leadership and quality service improvement. The candidate will be able to manage a complex and demanding diary. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to work as part of a collective team both with internal partners and external partners.
