Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen in the Front Door Service, and we are seeking to recruit a full time Team Manager who will lead and continue to develop one of our busy teams. The Front Door Service is responsible for receiving all new requests for support, referrals and contacts, gathering further information, making enquiries, and taking action as necessary to determine the correct level of support required for children, young people and their families. We are an 'office' based service, and this post offers the opportunity to utilise core social work and management skills underpinned by the Kent Integrated Children's Services Practice Framework in an alternative setting to a district social work team.
- Work at speed and under pressure, whilst maintaining excellent triage and risk assessment skills.
- Be highly resilient, flexible, adaptable, forward thinking, positive about the continual improvement of services and to be an active part of this.
- Demonstrate excellent and proven leadership skills that will enable them to effectively supervise and support their team whilst ensuring the efficient throughput of cases to ensure a timely response.
- Have highly developed communication skills and show competency in, and commitment to the use of Information Technology.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn, reflect and develop.Successful applicants will hold a degree in social work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent and will have a variety of post-qualification experience of working within Children's Services with experience of working at senior practitioner level or above. This post is considered by Kent County Council to be a customer facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh Sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the job description/person specification.
