Full Job Description

Team Manager - Direct Services, Learning Disability & Autism We have an exciting, fixed term/secondment opportunity for an experienced social care manager to assist in the progress and management of our in-house provided adult short breaks (respite), supported living and Shared Lives scheme for people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and/or Autism. We are a care provider, regulated by the Care Quality Commission and responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality personal care and support. We are seeking someone who is caring, has a passion for working with people, and can lead and manage large diverse teams and services. You will need to be a highly motivated, self-disciplined, and be able to work using initiative. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring our in-house services deliver high-quality personal care and support services; provide a safe environment for people and maintain service compliance with regulatory requirements.

To apply for this post, you must have all the following knowledge/experience and be able to demonstrate this in your written application to be shortlisted:

  • have substantial and current experience of managing CQC regulated adult social care provisions responsible for the delivery of personal care and support, preferably for adults with a learning disability and/or autism;
  • have theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge of provider services (social care), the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, and relevant other regulatory requirements applicable to care providers;
  • have experience of implementing good governance and performance monitoring systems in a regulated care setting;
  • have experience of managing services, motivating and leading staff, setting clear priorities and objectives;
  • ability to analyse information to reach sound decisions (demonstrating the use of risk management tools in analysis and decision making)
  • have experience of conducting thorough enquiries/investigations and compile comprehensive evidence-based reports. This includes implementing lessons learned through review processes.
  • An enhanced DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post. We also expect you to share and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
