Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive IT Platform (Infrastructure and Data Centre) Manager to oversee and manage our critical infrastructure and data center operations. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our IT infrastructure, supporting the organisations mission-critical operations.

As the Team Manager, Platforms, you will lead a team of technical experts to design, implement, and maintain the physical and virtual infrastructure that powers our business. Your role will involve managing data center facilities, optimizing server and storage environments, and ensuring system access for all users.

You will play a pivotal role in disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and the integration of new technologies to enhance our infrastructure. Additionally, you will ensure that our data centers meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and efficiency, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data center management, platform infrastructure, and cloud services. You should possess strong leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of platform and infrastructure solutions across NHS sites. In addition to strategic planning, you will provide leadership and direction to a team of platform and infrastructure specialists. You will mentor team members, foster a culture of excellence, and promote professional development to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the team.

As Team Manager, Platforms, you will also be responsible for managing resources, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure the efficient and effective operation of platform and infrastructure services. Your leadership, strategic vision, and technical expertise will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to patients and communities within the NCA.
