Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Team Manager in one of the three Ramsgate Children's Social Work teams. You will be working alongside other Team Managers to cover Ramsgate, Broadstairs and a number of outlying villages.

As a Team Manager, you will be leading a team of social workers and a social work assistant, supported by a business support team. You will play a key role within the management team, providing a high standard of social work to our children and young people. You will be able to evidence extensive knowledge of child in care processes, child protection, legal processes, including Public Law Outline and court proceedings. You will be required to provide a good level supervision, evidencing management oversight for the children open to your team, be competent in quality assuring the work of your team along with creating and maintaining good team atmosphere and morale. You will be responsible for chairing strategy discussions, permanency planning meetings and other professional meetings to continue towards key decision making for children.

You will be able to evidence good leadership skills and a proven track record for delivering good outcomes for children and young people. In addition to your practice, you will need to lead, manage and motivate a team to embed a positive performance culture. Above all, you'll be focused on helping children and families to change their lives for the better.

This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure application to the Disclosure and Barring service and registration as a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England.
