Full Job Description

Sutton Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team is a tertiary service in the Borough of Sutton working with people between the ages of 18 and 75 years with wide ranging psychiatric disorders. The service comprises of a Consultant Psychiatrist, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Recovery Support Workers and Peer Support Workers. The primary role of the service is to provide an alternative to acute hospital admission through short term intensive treatment at home whilst assessing and managing risk in the community. Working within the service can require a high degree of personal resilience and the successful candidate will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, be mindful of personal and professional boundaries and able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled clinician with sound management and leadership skills in Sutton Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team as the Team Manager.
The post requires a team manager who is proactive, assertive, and compassionate and can bring their experience and expertise to manage the team and ensure that the day to day running of the service is consistent and of a high quality. The postholder is responsible for the line management of the team and for the performance management of the service in terms of quality, finance, human resources management and governance.

As one of the few Trusts in London we are proud to offer flexible working as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage., + To provide effective day-to-day management of Sutton Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) in accordance with the Operational Policy.
+ To ensure the day to day management of the team to achieve performance standards of the team are adhered to and regular performance information is provided.
+ The Team Manager has an internal role in terms of co-ordinating the functioning of the team and external role in terms of contacts with users and carers, other agencies, and representing the team externally.
+ To provide effective professional supervision to some qualified members of the team and management supervision to other members of the team.
+ To manage and develop a responsive community mental health and social care service to meet the needs of the local population.
+ To deputise for the Operational Manager in his/her absence across Sutton borough.
+ To provide cross cover for other CRHTT's during the planned or short term absence of the Team Manager.
