Full Job Description

We are looking for a Team Member - Credit Control to join our Finance Team at our Glasgow office. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who can support the continuous build of our strong culture and environment that enables continuous improvement and service excellence. Our well established and award-winning Centre of Excellence has over 100 colleagues on site, delivering critical support functions that help enable Heathrow to achieve its vision "To give passengers the best airport service in the world". Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the credit management of a specific group of customers in line with agreed business processes.
  • Monitoring and controlling the collection of debt on selected accounts to achieve targeted Total Debt, DSO and Aged Debt. Use own judgement to determine best collection action to take to accounts to reduce bad debt risk.
  • Maintaining a level of unallocated cash in line with business targets.
  • Handling and escalating Bad Debt Recognition and assist preparation of Bad Debt Reserve.
  • Receiving and processing customer queries to Dispute Administration team.
  • Allocating customer payments received to accounts if required., We also have some hybrid roles which offer the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow.   • Highly numerate and literate, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in credit control and cash allocation.
  • Demonstration of strong customer service skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels both written and verbally.
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Flexible, self-motivated team player, with ability to work on own initiative and without close supervision.
  • Proficient in the practical use of Microsoft Office suite.
