Full Job Description

Data Engineering are seeking a Team Product Owner to lead and coordinate change across multiple data management feature teams. This is a wonderful opportunity in an exciting area of the bank which will give you exposure to a varied range of teams across the CIB and BCB divisions.

Meet the Data Engineering Lab

A group of Product Owners, Customer Journey Managers and Engineers supporting the Markets business. We have a passion for the products we support, and a desire to improve the way we deliver change. We're hugely proud of the relationship we have built with our partners and users, adding visible value to the bank with our ability to react to change whilst keeping a strong focus on the ever-growing regulatory environment. We work in an agile and collaborative manner, continuously learning, improving and sharing knowledge with the wider team.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supports development of Team priorities and provides product performance and benefits realisation data

  • Defines user-stories at Team level to meet customer needs

  • Works with Customer Journey Manager to analyse user stories for customer journey improvements

  • Shapes Product vision and roadmap at Team level

  • Prioritises, refines and manages Team Product backlog

  • About the Teams:

Client Data are responsible for the systems we use to create and publish client data for use in our product systems. Knowledge of the client data business and technical landscape, the data attributes we master and the use of this data would be beneficial. Do you know a legal entity from a trading record, a SIC from an LEI, an SSI from NPLE? The team publishes data to a rapidly growing list of product systems across CIB and BCB as the Single Customer View.

Market Data are the approved data source for market data across the group not just CIB and provide everything from streaming to snapshot to time-series data. You 'll understand how to control and audit the flow of licensed data and how to maximise the value we can derive from it within the contractual obligations. The team manage deep integration with third party data feeds and permissioning systems.

Regulatory Data are the source for all of our regulatory reporting within Markets supporting specific use case teams inside and outside of the lab. They ingest data from the majority of our systems into Google Cloud Platform.

All three teams receive a majority of their work as inbound change from teams across the platform and group. They use their technology to deliver flexible solutions to ease integration. As the PO for these teams every day will be different as you prioritise and promote change to support over 100 upstream and downstream teams, set and deliver priorities and lead the way in improving data management standards for your applications!

  • Have a strong customer focus

  • Enjoy prioritising & task managing

  • Would like to have exposure to senior management levels

  • And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful
  • Data management specialist with a change background
