An opportunity has arisen for an organised, efficient, and enthusiastic individual to support the Hertfordshire Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Health and Care Partnership . The Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Health and Care Partnership (MHLDA HCP) brings together partners from across the statutory and voluntary and community sectors and drives integrated activity to improve outcome for people with mental illness, learning disabilities and neurodivergent people. The postholder would be working in a friendly and busy programme management team, supporting a variety of project and programme activity and administering key MHLDA HCP board and committee meetings. The postholder will provide comprehensive, professional and effective administrative service to the MHLDA HCP Development Director and wider development team. The post holder will require a considerable degree of initiative, possess mature judgement and maintain a friendly and efficient manner when dealing with partner organisations, internal and external stakeholders and service users and their relatives., The postholder will provide comprehensive, professional and effective administrative service to the Herts MHLDA Development Director and MHLDA Health and Care Partnership development team. This will including daily diary and e-mail management, meeting administration (including the management of forward plans, clear minuting of meetings and following up key tasks and actions), records and on-going database management as well as supporting project and programme managers with key tasks including stakeholder management and event coordination.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate excellent administrative and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team., This is a busy and varied role so good interpersonal skills are required. As some of the work will involve interacting with external stakeholders and partners on the telephone and by e-mail , the post holder must display a considerable degree of tact, possess mature judgement, and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner. The post holder will be required to work independently and apply a high degree of confidentiality to all their work. They should follow Trust policies relevant to their work. The postholder will be expected to work across organisational boundaries and with a range of stakeholders, using their interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships with colleagues at different levels of seniority across partner organisations The post holder will ensure that all administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently and that all departmental processes and procedures are adhered to. The post holder will be required to work independently using initiative, whilst maintaining confidentiality and ensuring clear communication with the MHLDA HCP Development Director and wider team. You will develop and maintain key relationships with a variety of colleagues and partners including the MHLDA Development Director, the MHLDA HCP Development team, Board and Committee chairs, key external/partner stakeholders and other administrative managers and staff.   • A good standard of education to secondary level.
  • Advanced IT skills
  • NVQ3/RSA3 OR equivalent experience.
  • Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in an office environment.
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent, Microsoft Word Packages
  • Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
  • To be proficient in diary management.
  • Proficient in email management
  • To record and transcribe minutes
  • Maintain a filing system, both paper and computerised systems.
  • Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
