Team Secretary

To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Fal DOPMH Team (with occasional cross cover for the Carrick CMH Team), ensuring that all requests either typing or administrative are promptly met. To ensure effective lines of communication between team members, patients and others, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.

An exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, highly organised, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to join our service as a Team Secretary for the Fal Team Dementia & Older People Mental Health Service.

As well as having effective organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, it is essential that the applicant is able to prioritise work, handle difficult situations and have a flexible approach to working as part of a team. You should be able to integrate well with the existing team, be flexible in supporting the functions of the team and have a genuine desire to contribute to providing a quality service for patients.

The post holder should also demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able to clearly communicate with colleagues, patients, carers, the general members of the public and representatives from other hospital and organisations.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Approximately 568,000 people live here. A third of people who live in Cornwall are supported by acute hospital services in Devon. As a result, we also work closely with our partners in Devon. In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increase the numbers of people who use out services.
