Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available with the Lower Monmouthshire Community Mental Health based in Chepstow.

The Team Secretary is an integral part of the Community Mental Health team structure, who provides support for the wider team and supports the receptionist with the initial cover via telephone for patients under secondary care services.

The relevant post holder will be required to provide and co-ordinate comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Multi-Disciplinary Community Mental Health Team and support the running of the busy reception area in the absence of the Receptionist., To provide efficient administrative support to all members of the department, including typing, audio-typing, photocopying, filing etc.

Receive telephone calls, sometimes of complex and sensitive nature and providing general non-clinical advice/information to members of the public, service users, other professionals and staff on a daily basis.

To undertake reception duties for the team base, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, some whom are patients with complex mental health needs.

Ensuring processes are in place and systems adhered to, for the recording of messages to the team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
