Full Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Technical Administrator to join our Building Safety team. This role is your chance to make a real impact by supporting the team with essential fire and compliance activities. Typical day as a Technical Administrator

Provide desktop support to ensure fire and compliance activities are seamlessly delivered, and update systems and property records after improvement works.
Handle administration tasks such as recording meetings, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and engaging proactively with the team.
Offer proactive support to enhance customer engagement, aiming to improve experiences before, during, and after works. This includes managing complaints and providing regular updates.
Support contractor performance improvement by preparing Work in Progress and Key Performance Indicator reports, and minuting performance review meetings.
Use creative problem-solving and team engagement skills to help colleagues manage their workloads efficiently.
Assist in ensuring all building and fire safety regulations and compliance standards are met, including supporting internal and external audit processes.

You'll manage your own diary, so if you need to start late once in a while to attend an important appointment, or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
This role can be based from Durham, Newcastle upon Tyne, Leeds or from one of our Cumbrian offices.
This is a hybrid role and you'll spend at least 2 days per week in one of our local offices, 3 days working at home.
Able to use technology to communicate and collaborate with colleagues.

Relevant administration experience, ideally from the construction, facilities, maintenance, or building safety sectors.
A keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong competence in dealing with sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent verbal, written, numerical, and interpersonal communication skills.
Technological savvy, being comfortable using Microsoft Office and specialist systems like Open Housing, Oracle, SharePoint, and Power BI.
A proactive and self-starting attitude with a passion for learning and personal development, striving to be the best you can be.

6 months fixed term role, full time (37.5 hpw)

Salary circa £23,464 negotiable based on skills and experience plus brilliant benefits including health cash plan!
