This position is seeking applications from candidates with proven experience in investigating and delivering a wide range of technical issues. The successful candidate should be a driven individual with analytical thinking, that enjoys problem solving and taking control of situations to deliver technical solutions whilst putting our customers' needs first. The candidate should have recent knowledge and be able to utilise the market leading technology vendors i.e. VMware, Fortinet, Microsoft (including Server, Entra, Intune Defender, Office 365), Cisco, Juniper. The post holder will be hands-on with administration, support and maintenance of IT systems, applications, services and servers. Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Incident management
- Diagnose and resolve 2nd and 3rd line technical issues
- Liaise directly with customers regarding technical issues
- Identify reoccurring technical faults
- Assist other members of the team
- Installation of new technical solutions
A high level of technical skills is essential for this role, with a fundamental understanding of Networking, Microsoft products and virtualization - At least 5 years' experience within the IT industry
- Good general understanding of application, desktop, server, storage, networking and virtualization technologies
- Experience managing Microsoft's cloud applications, O365, Exchange 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure
- Experience deploying and managing MS Intune and Defender to manage end user devices and servers
- Strong understanding of the principles of IT and Data Security
- Able to work as part of a team and individually
- Maintain awareness of new technologies
- Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality
- Strong technical knowledge of core IT systems such as AD, DNS, DHCP, Networking
- Excellent analytical thinking
- Ability to follow complex technical instructions
- Ability to translate technical terms to a non-technical audience
- Good documentation skills.

- Virtual infrastructure (VMWare)
- Worked within a level 1/2/3 IT support team
- Experience with market leading technology vendors i.e. Fortinet, Juniper, Ivanti
- Firewalls, IPsec, SSL, VPN, 2FA, NAT and routing
- Switches, VLANS, WiFi
- Email and web security products, proxy servers, reverse proxy
- Email security, DMARK, DKIM, SPF
- Certificate management, (using internal and public CA)
