Full Job Description

Working within the Design Visualiastion Team, you will deliver the pinnacle of photorealistic imagery and cinematic sequences to sell the vision of McLarens future vehicle line up. You will produce content to enable the Design Team to "sell breath-taking products" and build the future of visualisation at McLaren. This will not only be used by design at the early stages of development but through out the buisness. Support the development of data pipelines for visualisation deliverables and through to further customers within the buisness. Research new Design tools for realtime use, to add value to the Design Process and design customer experiences to enhance decision making processes. What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Visualiastion manager to plan and deliver all Visualisation requirements
  • Develop Automotive scenes using UE5. Including photorealistic environments, lighting and vehicle materials
  • Plan own day to day workload to ensure all Visualisation deliverables are on time
  • Support the implementation of new technologies to add value to the Visualisation outputs
  • Work cross functionally to aid in solving problems
  • Develop and implement data optimisations from CAS and Studio Engineering
  • Develop guidelines and workflows to ensure best practices across Creative Visualisation team
  • Collaborate in Design Studio and deliver excellent finished products including, digital studio photography, vehicle themes and liveries, internal teaser and reveal cinematics
  • Support events as a Brand Ambassador as required

    Successful completion of a university-level course with specialization in Automotive Design, 3D Games art or equivalent.
  • Experience in creating cinematics that convey design intention and lead to buisness buy-in to the latest design proposal
  • Thorough understanding of photo-realistic lighting and rendering in UE5
  • Experience working with 3D software packages and modelling such as Blender, VRED etc. would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience with data conversion - starting from basic CAD data through to completion
  • Must have working knowledge of UV mapping, modelling and texturing
  • Previous professional experience in an Automotive Design Studio, Computer Games industry or using realtime rendering in a games engine
  • Texture Painting Skills (photoshop, substance, Illustrator)
  • Knowledge in level building to best set vehicles in suitable real-world situations
  • Knowledge and use of Variant Manager for configurations within UE5
  • Custom and creative material design inside UE5
  • Knowledge of basic UI/UX design
