Full Job Description

ABM Technical Solutions is seeking a Strategic Asset Manager to support operations and project teams in delivering world-class asset management and optimization services across our Commercial and Retail UK portfolio., As a Strategic Asset Manager, you will be responsible for delivering strategic asset management advice to our clients. Your expertise in asset optimization and lifecycle management will be crucial in assessing asset performance, value, and improvement plans. Your role will be pivotal in helping ABM achieve its targets and demonstrate significant financial growth through clear initiatives. You will own the asset management strategy and consulting suite of strategies from a holistic overview for ABM.

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies, policies, and KPIs.
  • Manage asset performance reporting and initiatives, both internally and externally.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to conduct asset surveys, feasibility studies, and implement optimization projects.
  • Support engineering and project teams in executing asset optimization projects.
  • Optimize HVAC and electrical plant and equipment while maintaining statutory service provisions.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities from existing contacts and experience.
  • Generate sales in line with individual and company targets.
  • Actively participate in bid/tender returns and presentations.
  • Introduce new technologies to support asset management targets.
  • Stay updated on new asset management legislation and act as the gatekeeper for ABM.
  • Collaborate with sustainability teams across all sectors of the business.
  • Set out the asset structure for CAFM implementation and create ABM rules on these
  • Manage a small team of asset collectors

    Essential:
  • Technical knowledge of building asset management systems with the ability to prepare feasibility studies.
  • Degree/HND/ONC in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience with asset management legislation, lifecycle management, and optimization strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with client representatives.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 and 55001 quality management standards.
  • Core competencies: teamwork, planning, organizing, executing, communication, commercial awareness, risk management, project management, adaptability, drive for excellence, self-motivation, and customer awareness.
  • Academic Requirement:
  • One or more of the following:
  • Non-Domestic Energy Assessor Level 3/4 City & Guilds
  • APEL Non-Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA)
  • EMA ESOS Lead Assessor
  • Desirable:
  • Management qualification.
  • Proven sales/business development experience.
  • Industry-recognized Project Management qualification.
  • Experience with Trend, Cylon, Tridium, and other control systems.
