Full Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Assistant: Clinical Skills and Simulation to join the Simulation Team in the School of Healthcare Sciences. In this role, you will:

  • Ensure teaching and simulation facilities are prepared for use by others, by issuing equipment to staff and students, providing guidance on its use, preparing and clearing away as required. Checking on the satisfactory operation of the equipment (e.g. {PAT Testing).
  • Ensure teaching and simulation facilities are maintained through cleaning and undertaking routine care of area, machinery and equipment, ensuring adequate security and stock is distributed as required.
  • Provide manual assistance in moving equipment from one location to another; and set up rooms for teaching securely and safely.

  • Experience of using and maintaining equipment.
  • Experience of using IT packages including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to deal with customers and other employees in a professional manner.
  • Evidence of working well as an effective team member, providing advice and guidance to other team members where necessary.
