We are supporting various customers worldwide in automotive engineering. We are recruiting for a Battery Unit & Systems Engineer echnical Author for Body & Equipment Mounting Manuals (BEMM). for our UK customer. Objectives Using Ford's Global Product Development System (GPDS) framework, review and quantify Program change content using gateway papers and Product Direction Letters (PDLs). Based on the changes, use CAD data from TeamCentre / VisMockup to create layered images in Adobe Photoshop and generate new content that explains the issue / changes with annotations as required. Import the new images/content into Adobe In-Design and crate a 'draft' BEMM document for review. Use the draft BEMM to consolidate input from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and agree the content for publication. When required, facilitate cross-functional discussions, and broker an agreed consensus. Once approved by SME's, update the Adobe In-Design file in the relevant section of the BEMM. When authoring, consider the document will be translated into 7 x European languages, and remain customer focussed throughout. Work to the BEMM loading/capacity chart to manage updates. Track all open issues to closure and develop action plans to deliver on time. What you bring along: Skills required: Adobe In-Design Adobe Photoshop, Catia 5 TeamCentre VisMockup Sharepoint Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) Outstanding communication skills, both written & oral. Experience required: Prior experience of Ford systems/tools, specifically Adobe In-Design, Adobe Photoshop, TeamCentre, Vismockup and PDL. Experience preferred: Awareness of language translations when creating new content. Additional information: 37.5hrs p/w hybrid working and required to attend Dunton for collaboration meetings & support the business needs of the department. Position is confirmed inside IR35. Successful candidates need to be eligible to work in the UK.
