Full Job Description

As a Technical Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a varying range of claims across an allocated portfolio of commercial clients. Your role is key in ensuring all claims progress without delay and to the optimum conclusion. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring timely intimation of claims to relevant insurer(s), establishing applicable coverage, and assisting/supporting the client through any required disclosure or data gathering requirements.

  • Co-ordinating claims from FNOL to settlement, advocating on behalf of the client ensuring their interests are protected throughout.

  • Providing expert guidance, technical analysis, and support to clients to facilitate the smooth progression of claims.

  • Liaising with insurers, loss adjusters and other stakeholders including internal servicing contacts

  • Accurate management of electronic claim files, processing all correspondence and diaries within SLA

  • Where required, attend claims review meetings, and produce claims experience reports, where required

  • Supporting colleagues and internal stakeholders with technical referrals encompassing coverage or quantum queries

    Are you a Technical Claims Handler with experience gained in handling UK commercial claims? Are you able to build strong, lasting relationships with clients and secure them the best possible claims outcomes? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you working on hybrid basis with an office base in Leeds., Experience of handling Cross Class Insurance Claims with an emphasis on the core classes of Property, CAR, Casualty and ideally some exposure to Product Liability. Financial Lines experience is highly beneficial but not essential to the role.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.
