Closely aligned to Everyday Banking, the Core Banking platform (CBP) has responsibility for the maintenance and development of the systems which host all of the core banking products for the Lloyds Banking Group brands. Over the coming years the Next Gen Insights Lab which sits within the CBP will build out the LBG Core Banking strategic Systems of Engagement (SOE) and Systems of Insight (SOI) , as well as migration and decommission of legacy systems. The newly created Next Gen Insights Lab is a multi skilled team based in Manchester, London and Hyderabad. We're looking for a dedicated Technical Delivery Manager, (TDM) responsible for leading the effective coordination and integration of delivery of the technical components across multiple Labs/Platforms / third parties. If you think this sounds like you, then you're just what we're looking for - read on!, Our Next Gen Insights Lab is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) to drive effective coordination and integration of delivery of technical components that requires cross-cutting engagement across multiple Labs and third parties. As a TDM you would model a desire to develop your skills and experience, create space to learn and collaborate, demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and confidence. You'll understand, embrace and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change. You should strive to build relationships across role communities, change teams and business areas to maximise opportunities for continuous improvement through shared learnings. A bit more about what you'll do:
- Cataloguing and handling the technology dependencies between the lab and other teams.
- Coordinating of the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure, and managing oversight of testing - acting as an escalation point when required.
- Working with colleagues outside of the Lab to ensure interlock enabling us to deliver at pace.
- Ensuring that we make the products delivered by the Lab consumable in a self-served manner.
- Collaborating with Lab Leadership and Product Owner Teams to plan and prioritise technical integration related tasks which are often infrastructure led in nature.
- Identifying blockers to delivery by proactively monitoring, trouble shooting and diagnosing technical issues and calling out to Product Owner(s) / Lab Leadership where required.
- Acting as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business partners.
Prior background working as a Technical Delivery Manager / Project Manager within IT, specifically software projects. - Strong agile delivery experience that includes work within Digital Transformation, Software, API or similar.
- Demonstrable ability to understand and translate complex technical solutions into non-engineering terminology that the business lines are able to understand and consume. Testing experience
- Previous hands-on technical testing experience with the ability to serve as a technical escalation point when needed and speak with gravitas and credibility around testing and technical operational issuers.
- Track-record of handing critical risks/issues/dependencies arising out of Status Reporting and agile meetings, taking ownership for critical issues and ensuring resolution within agreed timescales. Excellent influencing and communication skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and strong influencing communication skills. Reporting and Governance
- Experience in planning, tracking, reporting and governance; experience in communicating regular status updates to key senior colleagues and resolves high priority issues affecting delivery. And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Previous financial sector experience or experience working in a highly regulated environment would be beneficial in this role.
