Full Job Description

Reporting to a Lead Technical Designer, you will be responsible for developing high quality gameplay features and content.,

  • You will work with the wider Design team to create high quality levels and features which support the vision and creative pillars of the game and IP.
  • You will follow the direction of the Lead Technical Designer. Via regular reviews you will iterate on feedback from the Design Director, Lead Level Designers, other disciplines, and user research, to meet the agreed quality bar.
  • You will closely collaborate with other disciplines, understanding their role and building a productive relationship to ensure that they are involved in the Technical Design process.
  • You will follow best Technical Design practice and ensure your work maintains stability, quality and performance requirements throughout development.
  • Using Maya and in house tools to create interactive assets as needed.
  • You will work with the Production Teams & the Lead Technical Designers to verify that your task estimates are reasonable, communicating on progress and delivering your work to deadlines at quality.
  • You will encourage a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and respect.

    TT Games are looking for a talented Technical Designer with proven Technical Design experience to take on a key role on an exciting new LEGO game based on a major IP., Self-motivated and proactive, you will work closely alongside the wider Design Team. You will help to collaboratively implement the game vision, ensuring features and are diligently and robustly realised, and setting the standard for quality within the Technical Design Team., Experienced in Technical Design or Design role on at least one shipped title.
  • Proficient in Maya or other similar 3D modelling packages.
  • Experience of UE4/UE5 desired, including a working knowledge of Unreal Blueprint. However, experience in other equivalent packages would be considered.
  • Experience of scripting gameplay and levels, ideally in Blueprint.
  • An understanding of performance considerations and engine constraints
  • A broad knowledge of game design with a good understanding in some areas of specialisation, such as game mechanics, level design, combat design, systems design, progression, game feel, and accessibility.
  • Experience of working on open world action-adventure games an advantage.
  • A passion for creating fun and accessible games for children and families.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible Approach with the ability to adapt with change.
  • Involved in prototyping new mechanics, systems and ideas.
  • Ability to take direction and feedback well.
  • Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
