Full Job Description

We have a vision to do even more to meet the growing needs of our population and we're now looking for a Technical Director who shares our ambition., The Technical Director working with the New Hospital Programme and Technical Teams lead the development from design to the construction and commissioning stages - and the management of plans to develop both the New and potentially the retained hospital sites in line with the vision and objectives of the New Hospital Programme.
You will provide technical expertise to lead the delivery of the operational aspects of the Programmes, including the development of the design and estate infrastructure for the hospital sites. Working with the Trust New Hospital Team you will be responsible for advising and appointing through the procurement process the work of the design team, the construction partner, and other contractors.
You will oversee the development of the hospital design brief, based on work produced by clinical and non-clinical workstreams, ensuring that the Trust maximises resources and that the new accommodation supports the vision for services at the new hospital site.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering our spaces and services. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record in delivering highly complex capital projects with extensive knowledge of estates, property management and property construction. You will have an ability to develop effective relationships at an executive level and with a wide range of external stakeholders, and influence, inspire and unify those along the journey. You will be a collaborative, respectful and aspiration leader with strong emotional intelligence and high integrity.
