Full Job Description

To act as lead competent person on mitigation of fire risk in building design for Leicestershire County Council (LCC). To manage the risk from fire effectively, to protect and safeguard vulnerable individuals from the risk of fire, advise on fire related statutory compliance in accordance with LCC policy to ensure business continuity, efficiency and safety across the LCC building estate., We are keen to support employees to balance their working life with other commitments.   • Hold Membership of Institute of Fire Engineers and NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate
  • Demonstrate extensive experience of working in fire safety
  • Practical experience of fire engineering principles & project management
  • Experience of the design process and the principles of risk reduction
  • Extensive knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (fire safety) Order 2005
  • Building Regulations (Part B) and associated legislation and guidance documents such as BB100
  • Ability to manage relationships with internal customers and external partners
