Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity within our commercial team for an Environmental Health Technical officer who is either experienced and wishes to enhance the scope of their work or a recent EHP graduate or a holder of the L5 Food premises inspection certificate or L6 Food Control certificate to join our team. What will you be doing? Completing Animal licensing inspection, Private water Supply sampling and monitoring, Health and Safety Accident investigations, food hygiene inspections and interventions, infectious disease notifications and follow-ups, responding to service requests and giving appropriate advice. About you As an ideal candidate, you will have or be working towards obtaining the Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent or already undertaking a course of study towards Certificate of Registration to practice as an EHP. The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of the commercial team's functions by using professional skills and knowledge to identify, investigate, analyse, evaluate, and advise on issues and solutions relating to the 'commercial' areas of environmental health. You will undertake Animal licensing inspection, private water supply sampling visits, food hygiene, including communicable disease inspections and investigations as well as health & safety investigation visits.
