Full Job Description

As a Barclays Technical Product Analyst, you will play a key role in the development, support, enhancement and build-out of strategic applications in our portfolio. You will work with the global team members towards the delivery of agile sprints. This position involves hands-on application development in collaboration with our globally distributed development teams. You will adhere to Group Change control and governance standards, recording and reporting data in the right way., At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

  • Providing analysis on the technical requirements of system integration, constructing integration mapping documents, technical data dictionaries, articulating data model

  • Defining integration analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology of the organisation

  • Facing off to one or many business areas/SME's/technical teams to understand high level requirements and challenging where necessary

  • Participating in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team to help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered

  • Working independently to elicit, validate and document system requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams

  • Supporting the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested

  • Working with functional or business areas and SMEs, as well as other technology teams, to plan migrations of users and or transactions

  • Adhering to Group Change control and governance standards, recording and reporting data in the right way

    Robust integration and data analysis skills to document system integration requirements after understanding of data and integration model of upstream and downstream systems

  • Experience of the software development lifecycle, and the roles and responsibilities on large projects and the motivations of the actors involved

  • Enough knowledge of specialist area to be credible with business users and SMEs, and will continue to develop SME knowledge in a number of areas

  • Experience of some of the underpinning frameworks and tools for business analysis documentation e.g. UML / BPMN
