The purpose of the Product Owner is the overall ownership for a single product which contains 1-2 features, journeys or technology components., Within Modern Workplace we're looking for a Product Owner to lead 2 of the feature teams within the device's lab, this is an exciting Lab within LBG responsible for the devices we offer across our business.

This role is within the Windows Physical and Virtual feature teams within the Devices Lab responsible for shaping the technology offerings we have on offer to our colleagues and optimising the overall offering inclusive of Build, Device, Maintenance/Support and colleague experience.

What do these feature teams do?

  • Operations & Engineering of Windows client build, hardware, application delivery & support of our Physical Devices.

  • Continual deployment of all Windows client updates including monthly security patches, half yearly feature updates and operating systems upgrades. The team work with application owners across the business to validate readiness as updates are deployed across the estate.

  • Operations & Engineering of both Virtual Desktop & Virtual application infrastructure.


  • Our team is charged with making LBG a cool place to work, wherever you work, by connecting colleagues with the latest technology and tools and providing a first class user experience for IT help and support.

    Within Modern Workplace we operate within a hybrid working pattern. This role will be a mix of on-site a minimum of two days a week, and the rest from home.

    What exactly will I focus on in this role?

    This role will enable you to be at the very centre of this transformation, defining not only how we best utilise our technology to support our colleagues, but also how we can build and grow our colleagues skills.

    You'll be responsible for the release of incremental value contributing towards a holistic product with the main goal of realising value for our colleagues by ensuring that the team are working on the right priorities. This is achieved by fostering collaborative, empowered teams, nurturing them to take ownership of the relevant outcomes. As well as stimulating innovation and mitigating risk by conducting data driven test and learn activities.

    We're looking for someone to join our team who possesses curiosity, attention to detail, and passion for utilising technology to transform our organisation.,
  • A Product Owner experience of leading teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies, driving forward a clear product vision, shape and manage product backlogs with a focus on achieving agreed outcomes and deliverables.

  • Significant experience with agile development methods & tooling e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Jira & Confluence

  • Experience in implementing new processes/ways of working

  • Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver change

  • Experience tackling complex problems and breaking them out into a roadmap of viable solutions.

  • Experience of crafting a phenomenal team environment that attracts and retains talent

  • Experience of financial planning and cost control: a track record of delivering within budget and using resources effectively

  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down and across the organisation

  • Strong on dependency management and effective resolution

  • If you have any prior experience of Windows Physical or Virtual device management that would be beneficial
