Full Job Description

We're seeking a passionate and motivated Product Owner to support shaping the technical direction of our Stratos Developer Platform.

You might not be an active engineer now, but we need you to have experience of writing code at some point in your career and so be able to converse easily with engineers and other more technical collaborators. Be a self-motivated and proactive individual keeping the outcome in mind whilst driving progress day to day. A great multi-tasker, switching between different activities and responsibilities throughout your day. Have a collaborative, approachable and friendly style, establishing a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation through trust and empowerment of their team. Be comfortable calm, & resilient with a high sense of ownership and integrity ensuring the team always do the right thing by the customer, whilst appreciating things won't always go right first time and are not afraid to challenge the 'norm'. An engaging storyteller, with a tailored approach to communication, energised by building rapport with all colleagues and partners, to find the common goals to build meaningful collaboration,

  • It is Essential that you have a background in technical delivery/creation of either Software Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering related products
  • Experience of shaping Product Vision & building Product Roadmaps working closely with customers to define, then multiple parties to communicate content and benefit.
  • Experience shaping a technical design for a product and able to apply your expert knowledge and background to ensure no gaps in overall Product Development
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building and managing complex Product Backlogs using JIRA including defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Expertise in prioritisation, co-ordinating and driving delivery of the backlog via your Technical Delivery managers, Integrators and Engineering team(s) using the Agile method.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other parties with respect to securing dependencies outside your Lab, including definition, prioritisation and tracking the work to successful conclusion.
  • Significant experience of Bank Change Process & related Governance and readiness to adapt this experience to the new Platform 2.0 model including operational or Project Risk Management & Mitigation, all whilst managing against product budget.
  • Ability to work with multiple 3rd Party Vendors, building effective, partnering relationships.

  • Delivery experience of Public Cloud related products Google or Azure
  • The Stratos Product Eco system or Internal Developer Platforms in general
  • The Google Cloud Data Science product set
  • Improving the Developer Experience e.g. Streamlining and simplifying the Onboarding and time to being fully productive processes
  • An understanding of cloud security best practises and principles
