Full Job Description
In this key role for the team, the Technical Product Specialist will be responsible for collating the primary technical resource for the CancerTools.orgs product portfolio. You will work closely with the External Innovation and Production teams to understand new products and processes enabling the smooth onboarding of cancer tools into the lab. Using your scientific expertise, you will develop our understanding of key products and work to enhance our product offering. This is a new role for the team, as CancerTools evolves so will the role, so we are keen for someone to come and take the opportunity to make it their own. It's not a lab based role so you'll need to be happy working in an office based, research environment. In return you'll have the chance to work with a variety of high calibre scientists and products that in turn generate revenue for our life saving mission. What will I be doing? Develop key product technical information for use in the production laboratory, marketing, and sales activities. Manage the incoming customer technical service pipeline and ensure actions are assigned and distributed to the relevant members of the team. Support the production laboratory with compliance investigations and technical enquiries via literature reviews and collaboration with inventors/researchers. Work closely with the product marketing team to represent the customer perspective to ensure key product pages contain up to date technical information and identify ongoing data improvements. Align with the External Innovation team on new incoming product technical information and manage the transfer to the production laboratory. Create product data sheets for all products and ensure they are uploaded to the website. Work in a methodical and compliant manner to ensure all information is documented in our Quality Management system and in-line with procedures., Our vision is to create a charity where everyone feels like they belong, benefits from and participates in, the work we do. PhD. In a life sciences discipline (preferred) or BSc/MSc with equivalent experience (cancer-related fields preferred) Strong technical understanding of Cell Line processes/production. Understand complex scientific information, theories and practice. Able to summarise complex scientific information in clear, concise, and accurate language that can be understood by the general public in both written and verbal form. Previous experience in a long-term research project involving literature reviews and write-up. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willingness and ability to learn about new product types and technical processes. High attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
