Full Job Description

Project manage new product introductions into the PCB, PCBA and system supply chain. The focus will extend from delivery of packaged silicon to back end system delivery from Graphcores contract manufacturer.
Manage developments between engineering, operations and manufacturing including ensuring the definition of clear deliverables, timelines and metrics
Maintain overview of product and enabling technology roadmaps to ensure timely interception
Coordinate and drive new product DfX reviews.
Manage supply chain yield and quality improvement roadmap including internal and external activities
Maintain cross functional and multi-regional engineering relationships within Graphcore and at supplier sites
Survey suppliers for enabling technologies that could benefit the Graphcore product roadmap

Strong project management skills with ability to draw on experience of different methodologies (eg waterfall, scrum, agile etc) to identify the most appropriate method for the project
Knowledge of PCB, PCBA and system design technologies, including HDI PCB designs, thermal management solutions and high speed digital design.
Ability to understand the interaction between silicon, package and PCB in order to provide DfM feedback to design teams
Ability to work on own initiative as well as in cross functional and cross regional teams by employing strong interpersonal skills
Experience in working with leading edge suppliers in Semiconductor, PCBA and System Manufacturing Supply Chain

Desirable:

Understanding of advanced node wafer fabrication technologies as well as package assembly processes
Knowledge of advanced packaging technologies such as 2.5D and 3D integration, large copper pillar flip chip packages, advanced thermal management solutions etc
Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MSProject etc would be beneficial

As a Technical Program Manager within Operations, you will be responsible for owning the operations plan. You will be primarily focussed on back end system delivery, targeting PCB, PCBA, mechanical and thermal systems, You will be working within Manufacturing Operations (including Manufacturing technology, Quality, Supply Chain Management and Test) and Design Engineering teams to support NPI projects into production. You will maintain visibility of the Graphcore Product Roadmap to identify upcoming technical challenges that will face Manufacturing Operations.
The Team
The role will be as part of the Manufacturing and Technology Process team at Graphcore. This team is part of the Operations group and has members in Bristol, Cambridge and Taiwan. The team is responsible for developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes at the wafer foundry, package assembly and PCBA subcontractors based in Taiwan.
