Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Live Productions team within Technical Services are seeking two Technical Services Associates to assist within Stage Management and Scenic Workshop. In this role, you'll help to source, build, and alter stage props and set pieces for productions and assessments.,

  • Collaborate with Stage and Workshop technicians to meet production demands on time.
  • Source, make, and maintain props.
  • Use practical skills to construct, alter, and repair set pieces and props.
  • Manage the Connect2 booking system for prop and set resources.
  • Keep the Props Store and Workshop organized and tidy.
  • Assist with moving sets and props between rehearsal rooms and the theatre.
  • Identify and report Health and Safety hazards and equipment issues.
  • Support the 'Fitting Up' setup process for productions, including manual handling.

  • Genuine interest in theatre and live productions
  • Desirable:
  • Previous experience working in a theatre environment
